Are you looking for the ultimate loaded nacho fries recipe? In this loaded nacho fries recipe we use frozen fries as the base for this take on the classic nachos appetiser.
These frozen loaded nacho fries are a perfect game day treat. They work as an amazing appetiser, side dish or main course.
And the great thing about them is you can make them entirely from scratch or used store bought ingredients such as store bought chilli and guacamole as a great hack to save on time.
And if you have a fussy eater in your group, or you don’t like spice – no problem! Below we have given you our recipe but feel free to customise to your tastes.
Ingredients
- Chilli – either homemade or store bought.
- Guacamole – either homemade or store bought.
- Oven Fries – we recommend using crinkle cut for best results but any variety will do.
- Cheese – we used cheddar but Pepper Jack is another great option.
- Sour cream
- Pico de Gallo
- Jalapeños
- Cheese
See the recipe card for quantities.
Instructions
Preheat your oven and lay fries on a baking sheet in a single layer and cook as instructed on packaging.
Note: you could choose to air fry your frozen fries, however as we were cooking a large batch, and you need to put the fries, once loaded into the oven to bake, we recommend oven cooking to say on washing up.
When the fries are done spoon your homemade or store-bought chilli randomly onto the fries in large spoonfuls.
Note: want our chilli recipe? Check out this post!
Sprinkle with grated cheese.
Place back into the oven for a few minutes, until all the cheese has melted.
Take out of the oven and spoon on remaining cold ingredients (guacamole, sour cream, jalapenos, pico de gallo and any other ingredients you wish to add).

Tips for Making this Recipe

We recommend using crinkle cut chips / fries for this recipe as they stand up to the wet ingredients best and don’t fall apart as quickly as other frozen fries.
You could cook your fries in the air fryer and then transfer them onto a baking sheet, however this will increase the amount of washing up.
Variations of Loaded Nacho Frozen Fries
Spicy – if you want to make a spicer version of this nacho we recommend substituting cheddar cheese for Pepper Jack and adding a spicier salsa.
Vegetarian – to make this vegetarian switch from a regular beef chilli to a five bean chilli instead.
Smoky – Add chipotle salsa for a smokier variety.
